Thyme

Good Morning. Thyme is our subject of discussion today. The generic title, thymus, was from the Greek word, thymos, which meant "strength" and referred to thyme's invigorating odor. The early Greeks learned to use thyme for nervous conditions. They found it to be a good tissue cleanser and a help to heal wounds. Thyme has been found to be helpful in the cases of asthma attack and other respiratory problems. It has also been found to help stomach cramps and gastrointestinal complaints, and it even helped with whooping cough. Thymol, the oil of thyme, is a powerful germicide with a pleasant odor. It is used as a pharmaceutical product in gargles, mouthwashes and in toothpaste. Thyme has a soothing sedative effect on the nerves, and its disinfectant and germicidal effects are greatest in the diseases of the upper respiratory passages. Externally, use it with a hot fomentation pad on abscesses, boils and other swellings. Thyme reportedly helps dissolve and remove tumors, while relieving spasms and encouraging menstruation. It has also been reported that Thyme controls fungal infections such as athlete's foot as well as skin parasites such as scabies, crabs and lice. Thyme supposedly removes mucus from the head, lungs and respiratory passages, and thyme tea has been used for shortness of breath. Here is a list of some of the other benefits of thyme: bronchitis, gas, gout, headache, laryngitis, lung congestion, throat problems, whooping cough and worms. Now according this research, Thyme can play a vital role in the healing, as well as the maintenance process of a healthy you. So if you or anyone you know are suffering from any of the conditions mentioned above, give thyme a try, it just might be the remedy you've been looking for. Yohimbe

Good Morning everybody. Yohimbe is our herb of interest this morning. The yohimbe tree is a native to Africa. It has become popular due to the reputation it is gaining as a strong aphrodisiac affecting both male and female impotency. A testosterone precursor, Yohimbe is an effective body builder. It is a hormone stimulant and is a strong athletic formula herb where increased testosterone is needed. The bark of this tropical tree has been smoked, rubbed on the body, ingested and sniffed, for its effect on sexual interest and performance. The bark has long been valued as an aphrodisiac. The plant yields yohimbine hydrochloride, which in the form of an alkaloid salt, yohimbine hydrochloride, has been used in prescription formulas to improve sexual performance. The drug yohimbine dilates the blood vessels of the skin and mucous membranes, thus bringing the blood closer to the surface of the sex organs and simultaneously lowering blood pressure. The problem with yohimbe as an aphrodisiac is that if the blood pressure is normally low, fatigue may produce temporary impotence instead of vigorous performance. Yohimbe should never be taken at the same time as foods or substances containing tyramine which is an amino acid. Foods high in tyramine include liver, cheese, and red wine as should certain diet aids and decongestants. NOTE: This herb should be avoided if there is high blood pressure or hearth arrhythmia. The information contained therein is intended to encourage better sexual relations between married couples, and not to promote fornication in any way, shape, form or fashion. So in your quest for good health today, do me and yourself a favor do a good deed. Remember GOD willing a good deed replaces a bad one. Check out the store today http://astore.amazon.com/heame-20. Thought of the day: Whether we believe it or not, one day we will have to stand before GOD to answer for how we lived our lives on this earth. All of the scriptures that we encounter throughout the course of our lives are not mere coincidence. They were put here for a reason. Let's try to follow them to the best of our abilities, so that we will at least have a chance on the day when the dead are brought back to life.

The Healing Power of Ginger

Good Friday Everybody. T.G.I.F, the best day of the week. Today we will discuss the benefits of using Ginger. Ginger was first introduced to the Americas in the early 16th century by the Spaniards. It became so popular among the Europeans that in 1884, Great Britain imported over 5 million pounds of the root. It has been said by researchers at Cornell University Medical College that, Ginger may help prevent strokes and hardening of the arteries. The active ingredient in ginger, gingerol, is proven effective in preventing recurrences of so-called "little strokes." Aspirin has currently been lauded medically for its blood thinning properties which help prevent heart problems. What has not been addressed however, is the fact that the aspirin has serious side effects, such as causing stomach and intestinal ulcers, which often hemorrhage causing death. Ginger thins the blood and lowers cholesterol. It is known to reduce fevers. It can used to relieve vomiting and to soothe the stomach and spleen in the process. Ginger has a reducing effect on migraine headaches without the side effects of drugs. With the stress and strain found in modern women, Ginger is remarkable in alleviating menstrual cramps. Ginger is beneficial during pregnancy: it is excellent for morning sickness and has lots of minerals. Here is a small list of the benefits of using Ginger: bronchitis (chronic), childhood diseases, circulation (poor), colds, coughs, cramps, fevers, flu , gas, headaches, learning problems, sore throat and whooping cough, just to name a few. Like this and all other herbs the health benefits of using Ginger are tremendous, so if you or anyone you know are suffering from the above conditions, give Ginger a try and let me know the outcome. So in your quest for good health today, do me and yourself a favor, do a good deed. Remember GOD willing a good deed cancels out a bad one. Have a great Day!! Many believe that it lowers blood pressure, while being beneficial to aid in kidney and liver function. Some believe that celery seed will assist in controlling dizziness and headaches. Celery also produces perspiration and therefore, is good for those wanting to lose weight. Celery seed has been found to help regulate the nervous system by producing a calming effect. Celery helps in diseases of chemical imbalance and acts as an antioxidant. Both stems and seeds have been reported to help balance acidity in the body. It has been used to treat arthritis in cases of complete crippling and severe malformation. In some cases, where the patient was full of arthritic spurs, the spurs were dissolved from the body in about nine months to a year. In this research, celery juice was the primary ingredient being administered to the patients mixed with freshly squeezed carrot juice. Celery also stimulates sex drive and is helpful for the relief of headaches. Celery is a sedative, yet it has a stimulating effect on the kidney and will produce an increased flow of urine. Here are a few of the other, but not limited to, benefits of using celery: arthritis, gout, lumbago, nervousness, and rheumatism. No More Anxiety

Good Morning Everybody. The hot topic of the day is Scullcap. Scullcap is a herb that was considered in the old times to be a remedy for rabies. It's name was derived from the Latin "scutella" which means small dish in reference to the shape of the flower, which resembles a cap in appearance. Scullcap calms the nervous system without narcotic properties, quiets the person and often brings about natural sleep. It has been said that, Scullcap is a slow-working, but sure remedy for practically all nervous affections, but must be taken on the regular basis for a long period of time to be a permanent benefit. Scullcap gives a person the feeling of inner calm allowing a relaxed sleep. It is effective in easing the problems associated with drug and alcohol withdrawal and drug use. Scullcap is well noted for its abilities in spasmodic afllictions as with St. Vitus's Dance (involuntary jerking motion), epilepsy; etc., acting to quiet the nerves. Scullcap helps rebuild nerve endings in the brain. It is also beneficial to use for headaches arising from excessive coughing due to a nervous condition. Some of the main benefits of Scullcap are: anxiety, convulsions, epilepsy, exhaustion (nervous), fevers, INFERTILITY, insomnia, muscle twitching, nervous conditions, restlessness, rheumatism, and sleeplessness. Ginseng

Good Morning Everyone. I am back on the case this morning. I still have an exam today, and two, next week, but I had to stay in touch with my loyal readers. This morning's topic is ginseng. Ginseng's word derivation is of the Greek origin and when translated, takes on the meaning of the plant that cures all ills. Ginseng is stimulating for physical activities and can be used as a aphrodisiac and is believed to be such, because of the healing properties on the prostate. In women, ginseng is known to produce testosterone; therefore it's use for them is not recommended over long periods of time. Even though not recommended for prolonged use for women, ginseng does have its uses for women: stimulating the brain and memory centers. Ginseng's benefits are found to be cumulative in the body. Meaning taking for several months to a year has a better effect than taking it in short term doses. Before taking this or any other herb, I strongly suggest you consult a physician or an herbalist, because the benefits are numerous and this is one of those herbs that, man would want to take on the regular bases, and women as much as possible. I have some suggested guidelines for this herb so feel free to leave me a comment with any questions gripes or complaints. On that note, I'll leave you with some of the benefits of taking ginseng: anemia, asthma, appetite (stimulant), diabetes, harmone balance, endurance, vitality(physical), and weakness. So in your quest for good health today, do me and yourself a favor, do a good deed. Remember GOD willing a good deed cancels out a bad one. Aloe Vera

Good Morning Everybody.Today's topic is Aloe Vera. Aloe Vera is known worldwide for it's healing properties. The inter part of the aloe vera plant or the gel is rich in over 200 nutrients known to be beneficial to mankind. According to some studies, aloe vera is one of the oldest known therapeutic herbs. The enzymes in aloe vera softens skin and fight the effects of aging. It has been reported that aloe vera has been widely used in the Holistic medicinal treatment of the HIV virus. It supposedly shields the virus from entering one cell of the body to the next, therefore preventing the virus from spreading throughout the body. Aloe vera is also believed to boost the immune system by balancing the pH of the blood and increases digestion and absorption. Aloe vera is also instrumental in the treatment of burns. There are a number of other uses for aloe vera, both internally and externally. Some of these uses include: bleeding, digestion, eczema, insect bites, stomach problems and tuberculosis, just to name a few. From the sounds of this, aloe vera is one of those heal all herbs and should be kept around the house at all times. Phrase of the Day: People say that they believe in GOD with there mouths, but their actions show something totally different. If a person really believes in GOD, then he/she would do their utmost to follow what they know of GOD's commands, whether openly or secretly, preferably secretly, so that your actions will testify for you, and not your mouth. If you are obedient to GOD you stand a far better chance of your prayers getting answered. So ask yourself what are your actions saying for you? Are they testifying for you or against you?

If You're Interested.

Good Morning everybody. It has been noted that, If you want to loose weight then eating spicy foods help. Hot foods supposedly increase your metabolism and makes you burn fat quicker. For me personally this sounds to easy. Are you trying to tell me that if a person that's overweight eats hot peppers, and hot sauce, and all kinds of other spicy foods then they will loose weight? That sounds crazy, more over that sounds like you are creating more health problems for yourself with all of that spice! Okay let's analize this in further detail. Well, the key to all good things that you do in life, except for the service of GOD you do it in moderation. Sure the study says eat hot foods and it will increase your metabolism. But if you add muscle through exercise you increase your body's metabolism. Muscle is supposed to burn fat, but if we exercise for 1 day and eat hot peepers for 1 day, are we going to loose weight? Probably not. Good health has been analogized by a train ride. Sometimes the ride gets rough, and the train gets a little behind schedule, but if you get off before you reach your stop, you never reach your destination. In plain and simple terms, this means that good health does not come overnight, when the ride gets bumpy and the going gets tough you have to realize that, this is not my stop, I can't get off here. Consistency is wise. Stay on the train until the end of your journey. That way you can reap the benefits of your hard work. So in your quest for good health today, do me and yourself a favor. Do a good deed, remember GOD willing a good deed wipes out a bad one. Have a great day!! Click here http://astore.amazon.com/heame-20 and go shopping.

Phrase of the Day: GOD said in his Holy Book that, "with every difficulty there is relief. Verily with every difficulty there is relief." So never give up hope, keep striving 'till your very last breathe to accomplish whatever it is that you want to accomplish. As long as it is in accordance with the commandments of GOD, there is light at the end of the tunnel.

Slow Food Please

Good Morning. Today's topic is fast food. I know that this a sensitive area because of the day and times that we are living in. With the hustle and bustle of life every convience that's available to us is a welcome asset. The quicker the better. But when it comes to our health I think we should step back, take a look and evaluate our situation. It has been said that fast food is some of the most nutritionally deficient food on the planet. While not supplying our bodies with any nutrition, it has also been designed to increase our appetites and make us physically addicted. It has also been reported that the more you eat at fast food restaurants the more likely you are to develop certain diseases like cancer, heart disease, diabetes, obesity and a host of other diseases. The point I'm trying to make in saying all of this is, we should keep ourselves conscious of what we're putting in our bodies so that our bodies will be of maximum benefit to us. I know it's hard to get away from the fast food life, but the better we take care of ourselves, the less likely we are to become sick and ailing with long term diseases that will probably worry us to death. Let's try and eat as healthy as possible. Sure this requires a little knowledge, but the long term benefits are worth it. So in your quest for good health today, do me and yourself a favor. Do a good deed, and remember GOD willing, a good deed replaces a bad one, and on the day of resurrection we're going to need every good deed that we wished we had of done. Have a great day!!
